For a delicious take on pie crusts, bake them for longer than the recipe calls for. Your objective is to cook them past the point of being pale blonde, to the point where they become a golden caramel color. This golden color means that the sugar has caramelized, leaving a sweet flavor.

Always have your spices away from light in a dark and cool place. Your food will be even more delicious if your spices are fresh.

Spices should be kept somewhere cool and dark. Spices will last longer when they are not exposed to warm temperatures and moist air. Remove the excess moisture of ground meats by blotting them before you cook. It’s always a good plan to blot away wetness that is on ground meat. When ground meats are cooked, excess moisture can be released. It will start to sizzle away. This will cause the meat to steam, instead of sear like you want it to.
