School Lunchbox Ideas for when You’re OUT OF TIME! (NO Cooking Required)
it's [Music] time hoay yummy hey guys in today's video I've got four super easy 5 minute lunch ideas that are not only delicious but they don't require any cooking at all you know I love making special lunches for my kids but on days where I'm running late or I'm short on time these are the type of lunches I like to make these come together so so quickly they're full of shortcuts and I can't wait to share them with you if you are new here don't forget to hit that subscribe button and ring the notification Bell so you never miss out on a new video now come join our family and let the lunches begin first up I'm packing a lunch for my oldest daughter McKenzie and right now she has been loving a lot of different Asian inspired dishes and I love keeping these types of foods in our freezer especially when I'm in a hurry I have four different choices for McKenzie to pick from first I have some mini chicken and veggie dumplings next I have some cheese stuffed kimchi rice balls now we found these at Costco and they are spicy but they're really good and then they also have some soup dumplings and some bow buns these come in so handy especially in the morning when I need to pack a lunch quickly now technically these are all fully cooked so all I have to do is pop them in the microwave for about a minute or so and that brings me to my question for today if you heat something up in the microwave that is fully cooked is that still considered cooking personally I don't think heating something up is technically cooking but I would love to know what you think so McKenzie ended up going with the bow buns and I just had to heat these up for about 1 minute in the microwave and now I can add them to her lunchbox for McKenzie's fruit I'm just going to slice up some strawberries I'm going to to fit as many as I can in here and next I'm doubling up on her veggies first I'm going to trim off the ends of some sugar snap peas and then to go along with these I'm adding some carrot chips I bought a big bag of these for us to snack on while we watched the Super Bowl last weekend and I do want to add a little bit of ranch to go along with them now on the side I've got something new for McKenzie to try while I was putting in my Walmart grocery order I noticed that they had a pack of sushi style rolls so I went ahead and got them now they're calling these California cream cheese rolls I do want to add a little container of soy sauce spoiler alert wouldn't buy these again five out of 10 and now for MacKenzie's snack treat and drink I'm going to open up our most recent Tokyo treat box I know you guys this is not sponsored this is something that I've been subscribed to for over a year and the kids and I love it each box comes with so many different types of fun snacks and treats from Japan and as you guys might know I am hoping to take the kids to Japan this year for the very first time so all of these snacks are like a fun introduction to Japanese Foods so for Mackenzie snatch she picked out these corn soup flavored chips we've had these before and they're actually oi which means delicious for her treat she picked out the KitKat flavor of the month this time it is strawberry cheesecake and that is for Valentine's Day and then for her drink she's taking this little can of mixed juice and that's all for MacKenzie's quick and easy [Music] lunch okay okay guys next up I'm packing a lunch for my son Jackson and while I was putting in that grocery order I saw these new veggie tortilla chips and I thought he would love them they come in two different flavors a nacho and a ranch so they kind of remind me of Doritos and you guys I did go ahead and give these a taste test and they are very good but I do have to say that the bag that I got were over 75% crushed so I don't know if these chips just break easily or if just my bag got crushed for some reason I'm not sure now I know that Jackson loves nachos so to go along with these chips I thought I'd pack him something similar to a nacho lunchable but instead of just packing a cheese sauce I picked up this guy this is an already made ready to go five layer dip it has beans it has salsa it has guacamole sour cream and cheddar cheese I think this is such a fun shortcut to pack in a lunch this already comes with all of Jackson's favorite nacho toppings and all I have to do is put it in a container I'll go ahead and Surround that container with those veggie tortilla chips and then I can move on to the fruit now both Jackson and Lily love kiwi fruit and apparently they're super high in vitamin C as well so I'm going to go ahead and cut this with a zigzag I love cutting it this way I just think it looks more fun but you have to be good with a knife to do this right next to that I'm going to throw in some corn and some cherry tomatoes now for a snack on the side I went ahead and picked up these already ready to go cheese cubes these are a mix of Colby and Monterey Jack and then for the sweet treat I'm going to add just two of these cute little mini cinnamon rolls now these ones don't have any icing or frosting on them but they're still really good and of course they're quick and easy and now last lastly on the side I'm also packing Jackson This drinkable Greek yogurt mango is his favorite flavor and this one has a lot of protein [Music] too okay now that brings me to a lunch for Lily and for her I'm going with a breakfast theme which is one of her favorites and for her main course I'm kind of packing a deconstructed yogurt parfait I'm going to start by combining this vanilla Greek yogurt with some natural peanut butter and then I'm also going to drizzle a little bit of Honey on top as well cuz I've learned that if the yogurt is too tart Lily won't eat it once I've mixed this up really well I can go ahead and add it into her thermos that way it'll stay nice and cold and quick tip you guys just like how you would preheat your thermos with boiling hot water you can also pre-chill your thermos with some ice water before you add in any cold foods next I'm doubling up on Lily's fruit she's going to be able to add these into her yogurt when it's lunchtime and I think she's going to love that first she's getting some strawberries and then I'm also adding some blueberries [Music] next because I know it's also one of Lily's favorite snacks I'm adding in some edamame these ones are lightly salted and they're already out of the shell now since I have a big bag of oranges that I need to use up I'm also going to add one of those to her lunch and then to go along with this I asked Lily if she'd like to have granola or if she'd like to have these mini protein waffles and I'm not surprised she picked the waffles and now last but not least for a special drink on the side she's getting a strawberry [Music] milk [Music] next up I have a lunch for Griffin that I know he's going to love and he's also going to love that I'm packing it in his Mario lunch bag for Griffin's main course I'm going to put together some turkey bacon ranch rollups I'm starting with about half a block of room temperature cream cheese and to this I'm adding some ranch seasoning next I'm adding some bacon crumbles and these are already cooked and they're the type that you might put on a salad this actually makes quite a lot of spread so I'm going to have plenty to make more rollups for the other kids for the tortilla itself I'm going to use the spinach and Herb flavored one now I used to buy these all the time and they are really good even my picky eaters that don't love spinach will eat these now once I have my Spread spread all over I'm going to go ahead and add some cheddar slices is followed by some smoked turkey this gets rolled up as tightly as possible and then cut into [Music] pieces as I'm adding these in here I want to make sure to leave enough room for some other goodies for Griffin's fruit I'm adding in some orange [Music] smiles and for his veggie I'm adding in some baby cucumbers and I like to cut these just like I cut a kiwi now these will also get some ranch to go along with them and then for a snack on the side I'm adding in Griffin's favorite flavor of goldfish for Griffin's sweet treat I'm going with something a little unusual on my last trip to Costco I picked up this double pack of cookie butter now I don't buy this stuff very often because it's dangerously good but at Costco they were on sale the double pack was only about $4 which is such a good deal I'm going to use this cookie butter to quickly put together a few Mario themed two bite samies check it out you guys these are so cute and then finally for his drink I'm going to add a little carton of regular [Music] milk no friends there is a huge Easter egg in this video that hints at the theme for my next video so let me know in the comments down below if you have a guess on what that Easter egg is I want to thank you guys so much for watching and I'll see you next time
